Last Saturday we hiked a small section of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, up to Mount Greylock in Massachusetts. Mount Greylock is actually the highest natural point in Massachusetts. Here are a few pictures from the top. Very near the top: Me near the top: Husband near the top: View from the summit: Veteran's Monument at the top: If you are interested in the full write-up I did about our hike, and a few more pictures, the blog entry is located here: http://molasseshiking.weebly.com/blo...mt-greylock-ma

Looks great! Did you know that Mt. Greylock covered in snow inspired Herman Melville to think of a great white whale? You mentioned you'd like to hike the entire AT - feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
Lovely shots. I do like to see photos of kilts 'out in the wild'.
One kilt, several looks "Watch Weel"
Nice! What a view!
Looks like a great hike! Thanks for the pics.

And good to know about the AT. We're currently working on all the trails required for the CT 400 Club Certificate, of which the CT section of the AT is a requirement. We should finish that up this year or next if all goes to plan, and sectioning the rest of the AT will be our next project.
