At the risk of becoming political, a hearty "aye."

....wish he'd come across the Atlantic again.

Thank for this. I'll take a pause and call my Dad now. A strong soul is he at 80 years young, works six days a week at his landscaping business but can't call him on Sundays. Reserved for golf or quail hunting (which ever gets the best results)

This is beautiful and haunting at the same time. I have read this was the unofficial Scottish National Anthem for centuries. Written by Burns 479 years after the Battle of Bannockburn written to the traditional scots tune "Hey Tuttie Tatie" which is said to have been played by the Bruce's army at the Battle of Bannockburn. I wish I could know for sure.

He has a powerful but gentle voice. Did you notice the Scot in the audience wearing his tam? Nice bonnet for out of doors, but he really should remove it indoors.
