Me and my kilt! ;)
All,
I've only a plain black kilt at the moment. ...hoping to rectify that very soon.....soooo, this is us!! =)
I realize my representation isn't the traditional look, but I've got my own style, and wouldn't have it any other way!
Regards, Johnnie.

Got these, and many of my other knee high/riding/officers/etc boots, on eBay.....most are lace up, some are pull on, and some of the newer ones have zippers. A few pair are originals from the early part of the twentieth century, and in surprisingly good wearable condition, the rest are more modern or reproductions offered by places such as What Price Glory. I know knee boots are mainly worn by women nowadays (and some have no idea that men ever wore this style of boot, period) but men have worn these type boots in one form or the other for hundreds of years in military and civilian roles, and as I like to do my own thing I see no reason why they can't be worn by men again.....but if you're going to wear them you've got to own it, much like wearing a kilt!! =)

Johnnie! Welcome!
I'm new to the Kilt, but your words really resonate with me. In my short time wearing the Kilt, this has been my experience - the more I "OWN IN", the more fun I have and the better I'm received by those around me.
As for the boots, not really my style, but Brother - You are Rockin' it!.
As an aside, I'm an absolute eBay addict. I've gotten incredible deals on boots (not quite knee high ) and shoes and a variety of other goods. The only thing I consistently miss on are iPods - so I just don't buy those on eBay any more.
