    Gargoyles

Okay, so my wife is a member of the Disney Movie Club and she found a cartoon series I used to watch. It was the show "Gargoyles". It involves a group of gargoyles transplanted from medieval Scotland to modern day New York City. When she bought it for me we watched it through and I felt very nostalgic, but I also noticed more of the deeper themes and such that I missed the first time. One of the other things that I noticed was the very sincere attempt by the Disney creators to infuse it with some of the, albeit somewhat romanticized, Scottish Highland culture. One of the first things that I picked up on was the fact that the title characters are all wearing a crude and slightly modified philabeg. Or at least that's how I now perceive what I saw. Does anyone else on here remember this show or interpret it the same?

I have a grandson now and learned to watch every animation/Disney/sometimes pull your hair out film ever made. Gargoyles was good stuff. Can't answer the question but keep a gargoyle handy at the back door just in case.
