The Glenlivet Nądurra Dram Chair
Not that I need a special place to rest my derriere, but apparently The Glenlivet commissioned a uniquely designed Nądurra Dram Chair for enjoying a wee dram.
Any thoughts?

As a "show piece" of furniture I offer a rating of 9. The use of white "Cooper's" oak and oak tannin-dyed leather rates a 10. Functionality and longevity of use will reduce it to an 7. After completing the task of its intended design, ( a dram or three later) I won't remember what I'm voting on. Therefore it gets a tallied vote of 8.5, with the consideration of "well done" as an added factor.

I note that they expect to sell for over 6000 GBP each. I do hope that those with the wherewithal to purchase one, recognize that sum could instead purchase a great many bottles of the spirit in question. I suppose it is a matter of perspective, but I know which I'd prefer, given the choice.

Nadurra is one of my preferred drams, and I first encountered it at the Glenlivet distillery when my wife, (God bless her soul) chose not to finish hers; I had selected another sample; hers was the better choice!

Very nice chair and full of cerebral content, but for that sort of money I'd be able to buy ALL my desired regalia, some very fine bottles of malt, and still have a considerable chunk left over...
May if I win the Euromillions to night...

Yeah I'd definitely take the whisky over the chair! I don't see how it enhances one's dramming experience...looks like a glorified deckchair to me

My wife, bless her heart, presented me with a bottle of Nadurra for our wedding anniversary. Lovely spirit. I must say, I didn't know about the commissioned furniture until this thread, and I'll have to admit I enjoyed every drop of that whisky without the benefit of a hand-crafted "dram chair."
Had I only known what I was missing . . . Nah, I'd still forgo the chair and suffer through my imbibing with the knowledge good Scotch transcends mere seating arrangements.

I think I would save my money for the Scotch of my choice and instead buy a run of the mill leather sling back chair to plant my hind end in.
Were it a fantastic design or quite unusual it might be worth the coin, but it seems to me to be an expensive directors chair.
Heck, I could buy a special "scotch drinking kilt" AND a bottle for that money..... Not that all my kilts aren't special scotch drinking kilts.
