    My new kilt pin

Rudi of Celtic Empire has these silver tara brooches on his site for $185.00.
I've been coveting one for a long time.

You should see this thing on my black kilt! It is the perfect weight and a real beauty!

Looks really beatiful. As it is so expensive does it fasten securely. I've lost a cheaper one.

Now I use both hot glue and a rubberband to hold it in place..(the pin that is)........Oh! behave....

I personally got a look at this Kilt pin the other day whilst picking up my new Kilt(finally) . It is a very nice looking Kilt pin with a little bit of size to it as well. If I had the money to spend on one I probably would.

I'll take some pics to show how this thing fastens. I can't see it coming loose.

A day later and I'm still fascinated with the thing! I love the mechanical simplicity as to how it stays on. Ingenious. though hardly a new idea.
I guess I'd better sell them on my site. I'll see if I can get the price down but no promises until I speak to Rudi.

I keep drooling over the thing, it would be mighty fine looking on any kilt.

Here's how the thing works. Cool in its simplicity.
    (I still can't take a decent photo.)

First, push the pin through about 1/2" of fabric. I find an angle works better than straight down.

Then fold the torc over the pin. The pin is kept on the torc with a ring on the back of the pin head.

Then pass the torc under the ring. The knobs on the end of the torc and its weight keep it there.
