Hello! New Member fro So Cal
Hi all!
I was recommended to this site by Barb T when I ordered my copy of Art of Kiltmaking.
I got my first kilt to wear for my wedding, and made gifts of kilts to my groomspeople. We wore the Gordon Dress, and it's still my favorite kilt. I also own an Honour of Scotland and Irish National (My mother's family is of Irish, English, Scot, and Welsh descent).
A seamstress friend of mine is currently working on a black box-pleated kilt (following Matt Newsome and Barb's addendum on Box Pleating). Lucky me, she works for the challenge of it and a bottle of Scotch. 
Anyway, I've been reading the forums for a few weeks and finally decided to sign up. Looking forward to chatting with you all, I've already learned a lot from what I've read!
