    Bear was right!

Some time ago I remember Bear saying how he found the cold wind stimulating and enjoyable about his legs in a kilt.

While I know that most of you are basking in the sunshine of summer, we in fact are in winter right now. So i have to say, after entering into my first winter in a kilt, that Bear is right, this is the best winter I have experienced in the 30 years I've been in Tasmania, why? ...cos of the kilt.

While too many people to mention ask me that tired old question : "aren't your legs cold?", I have to say that the cold wind of winter is embracing, enjoyable, and stimulating.

What a liberating experience it is to wear a kilt with confidence and joy!
It makes me tingle all over, is that a bad sign? I know...addicted!

So as I stand on the mountaintop, overlooking the valley, I say to the cold wind...blow you hardest, you'll not dissuade me, neither will you move me, for I'm wearing a kilt!

    cold & kilts...

On a related subject, a get a lot of folks who will comment on my lack of a tan when I am in my kilt..."your legs are too white", they say. My response is: "Where do you think the kilt is from, Barbados?"

I agree with Bear & Graham...fall & winter are the best times to wear a kilt (my favourite seasons as well!)

    Cheers! (b)

I've been out in -15c. In my 8-yard medium weight. It was just great. I have however said before we oftern get 2-3 feet of snow and sometimes much more in the course of one night. Then I use my scooter dress to clear the drive way.....

The autum here is the best time of all for kilting...
Great comments Graham....You take addiction to new levels

I also truly love to kilt a in the winter.
I as you are, is & am, also sick and tired of"aren't your legs cold"?
I just tell them NO! if my legs were cold I would have worn pants, then I ask them "What are YOU going to do when winter gets here"?

I would much rather wear a kilt in winter than summer.

You want stimulating?? You should visit Canada sometime in the middle January! -20 to -30deg plus wind chill for weeks. Then every once in a while it will get cold. Eyes water, nose runs, skin stings then itches. Short days. Heavy heating bills. No thanx! Do my legs get cold in the depths of winter when I'm in a kilt? Dammm right they do! Kilt or no kilt I'll take any season but winter.

Blu, if it is too cold one can always put on more clothes... if it is too hot one will be too hot even when naked.
