Son and I in our USA Kilt kilts
After I got my kilt my son informed me that he wanted one as well. So, we got him one for Christmas and we (I) couldn't wait until then to give it to him.

Way to go, it's always nice when family gets involved with our likes.

Nick: Nice-looking kilts. Congratulations. Good for your son. It's great that he's starting young.
We can clearly see who wears the pants in your family. Mine too. I mean not your wife, but mine. ;)
I spent a lot of years in FL - Miami, Keys (Marathon), Vero Beach, Tallahassee, et. al. Great state.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

That's pretty awesome, Nick! I have to say it is definitely something special to share kilt love with a son! Guid on ye!
That's the Wallace tartan, yes? Curious if Sweeney is connected with Wallace in any way? Had a good visit to Castle Sweeney in Argyll a few years back. If you ever get that way yall should definitely check it out. It's on the Kintyre peninsula near Campbelltown...
Cheers,
Wesley
PS: where in Florida are you, if you don't mind me asking?

It's the MacQueen tartan and from what I have found its the tartan that the Sweeney Clan encourages use of.
I told my wife that I want to schedule a vacation for the two of us to Scotland and Ireland, though I have a feeling it won't be for years (aka when the kids are gone from the house).
We live just south of Tampa near Sarasota.
