    Utilikilt belt buckle

For those of you not on or have left the Utilikilts forum, check this out:

    http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/uti.../message/14535

I'm trying to get as many people as possible in on the debut of a Utilikilt approved belt buckle. At the above link is a link for a drawing of the buckle design.

End design will be 3" in diameter, with a bail set for a 1 3/4" standard duty/garrison belt. (Bail sizes can be changed individually, if I recall rith).

Please take a look and let me know if you are interested. All the info you need is on the above link.

    Any more questions? Ask.

    Sorry to offend.

Just trying to get interest in a belt buckle that I'm trying to get off the ground for Utilikilt wearers. Steven even approved.

    http://cobratrader.com/pictures/UKBuckleProtoDesign.jpg

See that link to see the design. 3" diameter, set for 1 3/4" belt.

Looks to be at roughly $40 right now. More folks, less funds. Hope to have this done within two weeks.

Interested? Drop me a line and I'll get you in the list.

    Not interested? No problem.

    Thanx for your time.

    EBlackall,
While I wouldn't wear another kiltmaker's logo for obvious reasons, I think that is one sharp looking buckle! Good luck with it!

Like Wolfgang, I had no intention to register at the Utilikilts forum just to see the buckle. I don't own a Utilikilt, and have no plans to buy one.

However, the buckle does look good. Thanks for posting the drawing for all to see.

    Bear,

This company is pretty easy to work with and will do anything. Setup fee is a little stiff, but reasonable, I suppose. Got a design, they'll do it.

I've got another buckle that was made by them over 15 years ago and is still looking really good, despite it's age. It was made for a bunch of the investigators at the Provost Marshal Office when I was stationed in Germany.

Well made stuff at a good price.

As for the logo, according the company's owner, it's a stylized version of three F's, for Form Follows Function. Any Utilikilt owner knows what it is immediately. It's pretty much the founders motto.

EBlackall, the buckle looks nice. I'm sorry to say that I don't like the design of Utilikilt much. Amerikilt build my favourite modern Kilts. Also if I like Amerikilt I won't buy a Amerikilt buckle. I will use my old Levis&Strauss belt further on.

Nevertheless, good luck for You to gain fans for Your Utilikilt buckle.

While I am not a Utilikiltarian I think that the buckle is pretty sharp.
