    Northwest suburbs kilt night?

Alright gents, after the great time meeting Jordan I figure we need a fresh thread to set up monthly gatherings, heck.. Twice a month Might be an idea so those who might not be able to meet on one night could make the second.

    What say you?

And perhaps suggestions on a host location etc?

    Just tossing it out there.

I am all for it. As for a location, I will have to think about it. The last several meet ups have been very close to my house, so perhaps moving a little closer to some of the others would be fair.

@sample_m I was going to brew some beer here soon, perhaps you would like to come learn how to brew beer and drink a few while we are at it, anyone nearby who wants to learn a fine craft is welcome to attend, I might even brewcast it live on ustream.

The whole brewing process takes 5 hours start to finish, I plan on making spent grain bread, smoking some ribs or a pork butt or three... Maybe some smoked stuffed jalapeņos wrapped in bacon.

It's going to be a weekend thing, I need to check my calendar to confirm a free weekend day and make sure everything is ready.

And then I need to decide what recipe to make

I'm sort of thinking of a RyePA, I love a nice hoppy IPA but I've been craving the crisp bite of rye as well so why not combine them both right??

Or maybe a different style.... Hefeweizen, oatmeal stout, ordinary bitter, wee heavy, strawberry blonde ale, chipotle spiced pumpkin ale..

I'm open for ideas, what would you like to see?

This sounds way better than meeting at a bar. I'm all about beer and food. I'll bring the whiskey. And I will drink all beers but if had a choice. A wee heavy or a stout would be my choice. But will drink anything put infront if me. Check weekends and get back to me. This sounds like a great time.

If we brew a stout or wee heavy it will be a month or two before it's ready for drinking at the earliest, however that just means we bottle some and check it out over the weeks and you will get to see how the beer matures as it ages. I have a good english mild I'm kegging tonight that will be carbonated up in a week or so, that should be tasty business.

If I know you like diet coke I will have a 12 pack on hand, I usually have diet coke, dr pepper ten, diet sprite, and a few flavors of seltzer (lime, Apple, mango, cranberry, etc)

As for timeframe I'm still unsure, we have something going on at least one day of the weekend clear through sept. So I need to look closely and see
