If you want to make a flat cap

I just made a flat cap in the Wildcat Tartan from instructions on this website:

    http://schoolnsuch.blogspot.com/2012...ttern-and.html

Now, it's kind of a low-tech flatcap, as it doesn't have an internal hatband/headband. However, it looks pretty good. You have to be careful lining up the tartan in the brim with the tartan of the top of the cap, but aside from that, I had no problems. OK, yes I did....since you make the hat inside-out, I managed to accidentally put the lining in, wrong-side out. Oops. However, that's not a big deal in this case.

You'll see the cap pretty soon, on the Wildcat Tartan model.
