Greetings...
My name is T.L. Ingram. I am 70 years old, live near Pittsburgh, PA, but been all around the world. I have been inquiring different places in England for an answer to my question. I was told of this place, so here I am.
I have terminal emphysema, and got about two years to live, on a fixed income of $700.00 a month and wish to be buried in kilts. I have heraldry, and am part of the Colquhoun clan.
Does anyplace, here or Europe sell kilts that would just be worn in a coffin, similar to the backless dresswear we have in the states?
I have looked at various section of this forum and at a loss to where this question might be posed. If there is another section to discuss this, please point me in the right direction.

Hi, Mr Ingram, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa. I am sorry to learn of your condition, but there is a positive side: you could have a kilt made to wear while you are still in this world, and be buried in it too.
While there are no doubt any number of kiltmakers who might be willing to make you a backless kilt, it seems a pity that it would have only a single use.

My Dear Brethren, I am sending you a PM (personal message) on other topics.
It seems a kilt front with aprons of our clan Colquhoun tartan (instead of a full set of pleats in the back) substituting a belt of the same fabric that fits your torso, might work. All the other wardrobe (shirt, jacket, vest) would be standard design for viewing and burial. The amount of fabric would possibly be reduced to a single yard of material.
