advice sought for t-shirt colors to go along with the purple Warrior kilt

O' Great Rabble. I'm seeking the advice from the brightest souls here on XTMS.

I'm going to be the captain of a kickball team I'm forming here in Denver for my friends. The reason i chose the USAK's casual purple Warrior tartan kilt, because I thought it's the great colors of the purple, black, and white. It also matched exactly like the professional baseball team, the Colorado Rockies. I do plan to go to their games with the purple Warrior kilt. So, it's a kill two birds with a stone deal.

Back to the kickball. I have to pick 3 options of the t-shirt colors. Their link is

I was thinking of getting yellow/mustard hoses to go along with the purple kilt. I already have the black, charcoal, brick red, navy blue, lovat green, lovat blue, and white hoses. What about tshirt color? Gold? is that a bit too much of yellow along with the mustard hoses? Charcoal or any grey color? Light purple/violet? Sky blue? Sage green? Forest green?

    Cheers

What is the teams dominate uniform color, is my first question. I would think two choices (one to wear, one on standby) for each game.
Example being the dominate team color is grey.
    1) Mustard hose with a grey shirt (letting the kilt and hose take the attention). This will let the players see you without distraction from the sidelines.
    2) Grey hose with a Gold shirt (when you need to distract the other team).
Your team will quickly find the kilt when looking for instructions from the coach.

    Just my thoughts.

It looks just fine to me with black as shown here:

I think gold would also work and it would obviously make a bolder statement.

I know for sure some kickball team in the league already got the black shirt. That's why I didn't mention black shirts.

But yeah I'd wear the purple kilt and black shirt to the Rockies baseball games that's for sure!

I think gold or Tennessee yellow would look pretty cool.

Even with the mustard hoses? Just want to clarify on that one.

Yeah, that might be a bit much. I think a gold or yellow shirt would look great with the purple kilt, but if I went that way I would probably go with grey or charcoal hose. If you really want the Mustard hose, how about a charcoal tee? Or one of the darker reds might work.

Well I had to Google Kickball.
Anyway the purple & white in the tartan reminded me of an Aussie Rules Team the Freemantle Dockers.
They also wear Red & Green with the purple & white which is a nice contrast. Here are some examples

If you are sitting in the Rock Pile section, a black or purple shirt gets pretty hot in the sun.
Trying to match the color and intensity of the Warriors purple was a real challenge here in cotton t-shirts.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

That's why I never go to the day games at Coors. Too hot for my taste. The evening games are the way to go.
