Anniversary surprise
A friend I served with in the Coast Guard asked me if I'd play a couple tunes for his wife, Maureen, who is from Scotland, as a surprise at their 47th wedding anniversary party. She was totally shocked when I walked into their yard playing Morag of Dunvagen. Then she was crying happy tears. It was really nice.
Way to score those brownie points, John!

I`d guess you are glad you learned the pipes just for that moment. Great job!

I was once an artist's model at a major university in NC. I posed for 18 months while students learned. I can't draw, paint or sketch worth a hoot, so the lessons were wasted on me. I justified the experience (after the good wages) that I was the subject of art, not the artist.
Your friend John presented you and your talent as the gift to his wife. That tells me he recognized you to best display his true feelings to his wife. Take a well deserved bow as I offer "bravo"!
