Rowdy Roddy Piper died
Some of you may know him as the famous kilted wrestler for the WWF back in the its time. He wore the kilt, and always had bagpipe entrance music blared as he made his appearances in the rings. He was one of my favorite wrestlers when I was a kid. RIP.

Sad news indeed. He was also the main character in John Carpenter's film "They Live." RIP!

While I have not been "professional" wrestling fan since I was about 10, I noticed with interest that Roddy and I were born in the same city, Saskatoon, less than a year apart.

Despite not being a big wrestling fan, I got many calls and messages about this, yesterday. Some people must think that all Kilt wearers know each other.
I was however a big fan of They Live!. Great movie which like all good science fiction made you think.

JDuPree, I had such a CRUSH on Roddy Piper as a kid/teen.. He was a true bad guy turned good guy..He was terrific being bad, obnoxious and yet cool at the same time ( Pipers Pit the best) then he was even better as a good guy....He looked terrific in his kilts....He will be missed... When my sis told me he had died I was like NNNNOOOOOOOO ! Then I had to make sure just incase he was a victim of a fake death, but so sad it was true.....Hope he is at peace......Angie

Rest in Peace Hot-Rod, I will always wear a memorial pin for him on my kilt.
