    Long's Peak Scottish Highland Festival

I would highly recommend this festival to all in the western end of North America, as it is in one of the most beautiful settings in Colorado in Estes Park, right next to Rocky Mountain National Park. For more information you can check out the web site http://www.scotfest.com

You know, if they had been smart enough to plan it over the Labor Day weekend, I might have traveled down to Colorado for the event.

Alas, I will be in school then, and won't be able to sneak away.

The big one around here is also this weekend (Fri Sat and Sun) in Estes Park just about 1 and half hour drive from Denver. At the Stanley Park Fairgrounds. Some of those that will be in attendance are King's Own Scottish Borderers Pipes and Drums, 78th Highlanders Pipes and Drums, and 78th Highlanders Drill Team, United States Marine Band Twentynine Palms, the Ft Carson Mounted Color Guard, Celtic Cannons, HeadTalk (A drumline)

Concerts and Ceilidh performances include Alex Beaton, Seamus Kennedy the Brigadoons, Halali, Jimmy Kelly Band, Prickly Pear, the Elders and Molly Bennett.

My only regret is that we will not have Barleyjuice

I'm guessing there will be plenty of barleyjuice, but just not the Barleyjuice!
