The Story Behind Gaelic Storm's "Johnny Tarr"
In case anyone is interested in the genesis of the GS song Johnny Tarr....
This video was shot last year during the naming ceremony of my boat Johnny Tarr. We had Patrick Murphy on board to help out with the ceremony and asked him where he got the inspiration for the song, hence the video.

Don

Piper in Gaelic Storm
I really enjoy Gaelic Storm, now more than ever, since Peter Purvis (bagpiper) joined the band. In their last couple of albums, he has had a more prominent role, in more of their songs. Their music before this was good, but for me, it was kind of empty. Missing something. I really like the pipes in their music. But it doesn't overtake the music, just blends nicely with it. You can still hear the other instruments.
