Where oh where?! Duluth Traders?

I emailed the Duluth Trading Company the other day and asked them where, oh where is the firehose cloth utility kilt?

They waffled about product development, research cost, vendor sourcing and the like.

A few hundred emails from X markers might make an impression. . . jus' sayin'.

I love Duluth Trading Co. and have several pair of their Fire Hose work pants that are my unofficial work uniform wear. A kilt made out of that fabric would certainly be able to take quite a bit of abuse in the outdoors hiking, camping and stalking. If they do a better job of it than 5-11 did with theirs I might consider getting one.

I don't wear non traditional kilts myself, but have emailed them for the benefit of my fellow XMarks members who do.

They just opened an outlet near me in Oshkosh. Just purchased a pair of their buck naked performance briefs.

One option is sourcing a Utilikilt duck workman.
The UT Workman vs the DTC Firehose material: 12 oz 100% cotton duck vs 11.5 oz 100% cotton twill (it's really duck - if it looks like and quacks like....

)
My Caramel duck was the exact same color as the brown Firehose.
The water and stain treatment in the Duluth fabric tends to wash out though a few washing so they both end up the same.
The colors of both fade over time and washing.
