kilt length critique...
Hi
I have been experimenting with the length (the drop?) of a PV kit I own but don't seem to have the length right - or is it just me being over critical? In both photos my kilt sits about one inch above my navel.
My first photo (wearing the PC) the kilt measures 23.5 inch, which I think is too long for me. As I said, I was experimenting and had the hem raised (sacrilege I know but it was only a cheap kilt), to 22 inch, which I now think too short. That's the second photo I posted. What do you think about each length?
Can I also ask for a general critique of both outfits? Ideally, I would like an Argyll jacket and waist coat but can't afford one at the moment so I made do with a tweed herringbone jacket and waist coat in the Saxon style that I already have.
PS: In the second photo, I was wearing my kilt to an evening meal (not a black tie event), so I wore my dress sporran rather than my usual black leather one. I've also now bought red flashes and red tie to wear instead of green tie and Gunn tartan flashes.
Sorry but both photos are a little dark so you can't see the tartan properly... it's Gunn Modern
