    Am I wrong?

I recently ordered a Thompson Camel kilt from a vendor at the local Ren Faire. I was quoted 4-6 weeks for delivery. It came almost 4 months later. When it arrived it was the wrong color (photo included). In the package was a letter from them stating they know its a lighter color and they hope it would suffice. I emailed them on how I was displeased with it and how long it would take to get a replacement, another 3 months. I sent the original kilt back and emailed them I would like a full refund. I should have spent the extra money and gotten it from Rocky which I am going to do now.

You didn't get what you ordered..nothing wrong in what you did.

Did you pay actual good money for that? You would think that they would at least have gotten the twill line of the waistband to go in the same direction as that of the kilt. (You just flip the fabric over.)
And to get the pattern of the waistband to line up with the pattern on the apron. That's basic, day one, of kiltmaking school.

There are times when I have to tell a customer, that due to the workload, it will take 4 months for them to get their kilt. But I tell them this, and they understand and agree, before they even hand over their hard earned money.

Send it back, get a full refund, and go find someone to sell you the product you want, with at least the basics of quality, in an agreed on amount of time.

Yeah we paid about $130 for it. I requested a full refund plus the cost of shipping it back to them. I now have on order a semi-trad coming from Rocky and his men (paid the extra for them to speed up the process).

I'm sure Steve would be willing to make you a kilt, or Rocky.... I've learned through doing that it really is worth buying the best quality you can afford,

Rocky has done me well many times, and I hope to one day try Steve's product, just research your vendor and ask questions!

I'm so sorry for your bad luck getting the kilt. I echo GR's sentiments, going with an X Marks partner will be worth every penny.

Order received and in the queue. It'll be out the door within 2 weeks and will be exactly as pictured and described on our site. I'll stake my reputation on it.

If you're looking to eventually buy from Steve, now is a good time with the USD : CDN so favorable to the US right now.

Rocky, it will be the darker brown like the one on the left of the picture and not yellow like the one on the left?
