    Jackett Mod

Inspired by others I found a Harris Tweed jacket on the auction site and shortened it.

    Before mod:

    and after:

I could not get the sporran cutaway as steep as I would have liked due to the pesky bottom button. Or should I say that I was to impatient to deal with it. At any rate my look has come a long way in a few short months thanks to this forum and its contributors.

This is my first outing in a kilt:

I would not be seen wearing this now, but I'm glad this hot mess broke the ice for me. (I have no idea in retrospect what that scarf was all about)
Any suggestions on my most recent ensemble?

Excellent work! I just finished my own conversion! It's satisfying to wear what you made isn't it? Mine made its debut last night at a Burns supper gathering.

Impatient, out of time or energy and the pesky bottom button are surely a burden on jacket conversions. Your have a good look though. Don't lose the first kilt in case you find the need for great adventures (later, when folks around you get used to your new kilting habits).

The bottom button, sporran cutaway, and pocket relocation were my big stress points for me, you did well in your conversion and I'm betting you had similar worries, but it's looks sharp!
