    wacky outfit on Ebay

Take a look- it's an impressively wacky conflation of stuff (calling it an "outfit" is a bit of a stretch)

the photo from the auction... is the booze included? int:

Take the Samsonite case in the photo and pack the bottles, (if full) and go somewhere to have a party. I do like the color of the kerchief.

Perhaps this ensemble was influenced by the ale .

Also , it appears the outer apron of the kilt folds to the left , note the fringe .

It's a left handed kilt, too. Leaves me out.

The kilt is a woman's skirt. The jacket is a man's but not a kilt jacket. We should feel sorry for the buyer.

Actually for the price it went for, the sporran and belt might be worth the price, if the hose fit it would be a real bargain. The skirt, jacket, shirt ruffle, shoes etc, well give them away.

Maybe it was just me, but I thought the socks were merely knee-hi argyle socks, not hose.

I don't think I've ever seen that combination of Tattersall shirt and lace Jabot.

    Anyhow here's what I see:

    - lace jabot
    - Tattersall shirt
    - ordinary "Saxon" blazer
    - vintage waistbelt & buckle
    - woman's skirt
    - child's sporran
    - motheaten hose
    - ghillies

The waistbelt buckle is very nice, and seems to be a vintage silverplate item. Or is it brass?

The ghillies might be OK, who knows.

Otherwise it's not much of an outfit.

I've seen those sporrans many times, the ones I've seen have no pocket, in other words are merely a decorative/costume item.
