Jewish Tartan - Huffington Post online
An interesting presentation on something the Great Rabble has known about for years:

Once again the press gives only part of a story. Yes the tartan is the only tartan named the Jewish tartan , but it is not the only Jewish tartan. There is also the "Rabbinical" tartan, the subject of its own thread on the forum.
Shoot straight you bastards. Don't make a mess of it. Harry (Breaker) Harbord Morant - Bushveldt Carbineers

Does this mean that the Scottish will be getting their own Tallit prayer shawl in return?

I'm not sure why this is news; the tartan was designed in 2009 - Jewish Tartan. There is also a Scottish Jewish Community Tartan which dates to 2008.

It's not "news", Peter, you're right. It comes under the journalistic heading of "Human Interest Stories".
i just thought that the Great Rabble would want to see that it had been published online. My best guess is that the journalist only found out about it now.

I think that someone must have been promoting it recently as it's been in a number of media this past week.

Aha! Either that, or maybe it's on a newswire service that several publications subscribe to as a potential human interest topic.

The only kilt in a Jewish tartan I've knowingly seen is that worn by the wonderful piper Erik Leiken.
He's a regular at our California Highland Games so this kilt is often seen.
Here he is! Sorry the pic has bad lighting. It's hard to make out in the photo, but he wears a Star Of David cap badge.
The tartan is exceptionally lovely in person.
and a video where he's wearing it
