Comments welcomed regarding travelling in pants vs. kilt
So I'm all set for flying to Ireland in 11 days!
We have a 90 minute flight, then a 1 hour layover then a 7 hour flight (then a few hours of driving).
Now don't get me wrong -- I love travelling in a kilt. It's very comfy and the ladies love it. I get so much attention that my wife eventually just has to go with the flow and enjoy it.
But ... would I be better off just wearing a nice pair of pants? ...
1) I wouldn't be sitting on pleats for 10 hours or so.
2) Easier to use a fly in those tiny lavatories, than to managage all that fabric.
3) I sometimes think pants have an advantage in that one does not have to sit with one's legs together. Legs-together is hot.
4) My nice pants have lots of pockets.
5) Since the flight is 7pm to 7am, I figure we'll need to get a night's sleep -- I expect that would be easier and more modest in pants.
Of course, I am leaning toward having none of the above matter -- and choosing the fantastic style that comes with wearing a kilt.
Your thoughts .... ?
