Tartan talk this Thursday
If anyone is in the Stirling area this coming Thursday I'm giving a talk to the Stirling Historical Society entitled Wilsons of Bannockburn, the Highland Revival and Clan Tartans.
Venue - Smith Museum at 1930.

Sounds like it will be a marvelously interesting and informative evening. Regrettably, I'm stuck on the opposite side of the Atlantic!
Have you given any thought to recording the talk for posterity and perhaps sharing it online?

I haven't but will see if it's possible. Failing that I will see if I can do something after the event.

I shall be in the area on Thursday and at about the right time too. Sadly, I shall be on the way South for an appointment with some partridges at 0930 next morning. I hope the evening goes well for you.

Jock, I expect the partridges would be quite happy for you to miss your appointment or even just to miss!
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Missing is not a problem, but an irate host would be!

Very well Jock. There were about 35 people there and it prompted some interesting questions. I also got a lead on a late 18th century piece of costume I'm investigating.
