Mornin' gents!
I was hoping for a bit of advice please. My good lady wife knits a great deal and is very good indeed. Some time ago I asked her if she would knit me some kilt hose, which she has duely done.
Now, the hose that she has knitted are look fab and are really comfy. Only problem is that to my eye they look a little short. Mrs U did say in a very reluctant way that she could lengthen them, but I don't really want to push it as they were apparently quite hard to do and have taken her ages.
So, I had a few thoughts. One, I could where them without the top rolled down as in the photo below. Trouble with this is I couldn't wear garters so don't know how I'd keep them up. Also don't know if this looks a bit daft to you seasoned kilters? Option two is wear them as normal with the top rolled down with garters and flashes, as in second photo (no flashes but you get the idea). Trouble is are they too short then? The other idea I had was getting some toppers. I quite like this idea as I could have some groovy dicing. I have never worn toppers so I don't know anything about them. Could someone enlighten me as to how one puts them on with hose? Do you still roll the tops of the hose down with garters and then have toppers above or what?
Many thanks in advance. Matt.
