Kilted at the Sterling Ren Faire

The in-laws came to town so the wife and I decided to take them to the local faire. I tried convincing my wife to make herself a costume a week ago to no avail and she was against my making a couple of kilts for my oldest and youngest as we are packing to move and she didn't want to waste the time. Yesterday resulted in a change of heart and I made a kilt, pleated to nothing, for my littlest on a machine in a couple hours. The oldest ended up with a fairy costume while the middle child already has a kilt which he's even worn to preschool. I wore my Muir tartan box pleat that John at Keltoi made 7or8 years ago now; I was surprised at the compliments I got on it considering there were a lot of kilts there and its fraying a touch around the edges.

OP, if you used PhotoBucket, they are no longer allowing photo sharing unless you are willing to pay $400 a year... at first I thought it was a scam but it looks like after 14 years that's it. Look for a free hosting site which allows picture sharing.

When you find one it's which should get you a picture displayed

This is how I went, don't really have much of a ren faire costume, the shirt is something I have from 20 years ago when I worked there. I'd like to get some boots and maybe a great kilt for next year. Not certain what tartan I would do for the great kilt; Muir, clergy or Russell. My name is Russell which is in honor of a Russell family with some close family connections. I realize a great kilt wouldn't have a clan tartan but don't care on that point.

Would also be nice to find a fun plan for my wife, her tartan will be slightly limited as she is allergic to wool and has to have a PV one.
