Balmoral for Douglas

Here is Tim at the Tacoma Highland Games, wearing the Balmoral bonnet I made to match his Douglas tartan kilt. Tim's is the biggest head I have covered, nearly 25".
I made a tweed, using one round of grey Lopi Light and one round of my own homespun, dyed blue. I put waistband 1" elastic on the inside of the band. The edge is finished with a blue chambray bias binding.
