Thomas Ebutt Sterling Silver Sgian Dubh

Selling a beautiful hallmarked Thomas Ebbutt sgian with a script date mark corresponding to 1986 (putting it into what I understand to be Hamilton & Inches ownership). Excellent condition - no dents, wear, or scratches on blade or hardware and sheath is clean and free of any bumps or deformations. I have seen TE sgians advertised as having horn grips, but I suspect that most are of a very dense composite, allowing them to have a slimmer profile (which is my guess for this piece). Cairngorm on pommel is clear, without any chips or scratches. I have a more ornate version from around the same period, but I think this model makes a strong argument for simplicity. $350 US plus shipping.

Yes...Thomas Ebbutt was taken over by Hamilton Inches in 1977.
Back in the days of TE, the handles were made of pressed/molded horn. The handle of your Sgian Dubh is a molded composite material made in the old style pattern.
