Swatch Samples...where can I get them?

I've seen a few places offer tartan swatches, but I'm curious if anyone knows where to get them relatively cheap, including any shipping costs. I don't want to spend $5.00 for a swatch, and $5.00 to have it shipped to me. Thanks.

Brian, you'll just have to try various suppliers, some don't like sending them out, others do and charge for it, some kiltmakers reimburse you when you place an order for a kilt.

As one who lives far away and cannot walk into a kiltmaker in Edinburgh, I like the idea of swatches and would encourage kiltmakers to make them more available. Images on web pages often don't do justice to the tartans.

    I agree Graham.
Both Hector Russel and Kiltstore are a source . However the postage is cheaper from HR.

Don't know if you're interested in Sportkilts, but they might. When I received my Macdonald tartan Sportkilt they included an unsolicited swatch of their USMC tartan. Was about 4"x4"
