    New Suit

I didn't want to highjack another threat so I am starting this one.

The other day my wife posed the "choice" question to me. Only, it was: If I had a choice would I spend 700CAD on a new suit for work or on a kilt.

    KILT!

I don't think she fully comprehended or appreciated the answer.

I think I have stepped over the "nut-case" line.

    Tout est normale.

Nutcase? I thought that's what we wear kilts to avoid.

I guess it depends on what you do. If you don't really need to impress anyone with a nice suit, a $250 Moore Special would do the trick. That would leave you money for a kilt that also can be worn to places where a suit is required.

    suit...

Depends on the suit, really...one from Brooks Brothers, Ben Silver, or from any store on Jermyn Street in London...now that's a hard choice!

I like the "tweedy" look myself -- always wanted a pair of "plus fours" with the shooting socks and nice shotgun -- just like Killwillie or Hector on "Monarch"!

    Cheers,

    T.

The suit in question was a Saville Row.

Once you own one of these Moore's just doesn't make the grade.

    KILT!

I've never owned a suit, much less worn one.
