    Forged in Fire

The other night I was watching one of my favorite tv shows Forged in Fire and if any of you have watched it you would know that from time to time both contestants and one of the judges wear kilts.
Well in the latest episode one of the contestants was wearing his utility kilt backwards on national TV I couldn't believe no one caught it before hand LOL

Is it possible that you are seeing a new style of garment from our friends in the Middle East? I have begun to see photos of one kilt like garment that is pleated all around I have now seen one knife pleated and one box pleated. There is another that appears to have rev K pleating in the front but I am not sure because the back was not shown.
These were made from solid colored fabric and a few have Tartan inserts in the pleats.

No Steve this was a utility kilt with a flat apron that should have been in the front and the gentleman was also wearing a sporran, tartan scarf and a flat cap

Steve, sounds like a candidate for the "Donate" button.

Not that I have tried, but the forge is rather hot and the snaps in the front of the kilt may become to hot if it worn correctly. Just giving the guy a break.

Wow, you sound like a bunch of kilt kops! I mean, who are you to tell him he's wearing it wrong? Maybe that's how he was taught to wear it, and it's considered perfectly valid in his culture. I mean, the kilt is a free form of dress, right? There are no rules, right? If he shows up here posting photos of himself wearing it that way, we should all just say "looking good" and move on, lest we offend him.

Taskr - It was one of the most recent episodes; I think it aired last Wednesday. The episode was named Road to Redemption Part 2, if I recall correctly. I don't remember if he was wearing a kilt in part 1.

I saw that he was in a kilt and sporran, but I hadn't paid close enough attention to it to notice that the pleats were in the front.

It seems to me the contestant who wear kilts are generally a slovenly bunch.
