Crack me up...
The place I live is nicknamed "The Windy Mesa" for good reason, all the weather blows up Glen Canyon, then up the mesa here...great place to fly a kite, a challenge to wear a kilt.
I spent a lot of time hiking in the wind to get used to the effects, but have also experienced that sudden power up-draft.
Just got two new Pittsburgh Kilts with the pocket in the inside apron...a nice place to tuck a waterbottle of heavy pocketknife in the wind...still leaves the stern vulnerable to the whims of the wind.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
