    Hi everyone,
Just got back from a cruise to the Med where we had 4 black tie nights, while waiting to meet the Captain an elderly couple came up to join the queue and I felt a slap on my thigh and a broad Scots accent saying how good it was to see a nice looking kilt, I haste to say this was the lady and so we got talking, they were from Perth and her husband didn't have a kilt but said he had a Black Watch tartan dinner jacket and a matching bow tie, thought I'd be diplomatic so didn't answer just played around it. Oh btw there was quite a few kilts about at each formal night.
    Regards

My wife and I will be on a Viking Cruise of the western Med next month and I plan to take along a couple of kilts for the evening dinners. Glad to hear that there may be others of the same mind set. Thanks,
I hold the truth in such high regard, I use it sparingly!

Hi Jackson, re wearing your kilt on a cruise you will have no problem I wore mine on the 4 formal nights [ Macgregor hunting and Black Watch modern] only, mind you we had quite a few Scots on board, as the schools were on half term breaks in Scotland. There were quite a few kilts plus one pair of trews [ Cornish tartan] to whom we became good friends with.
    Hope you enjoy your trip.
    regards
