Jealous of the wife. Jimmy, you'll be happy about this.

So I went to visit the folks for the first time since I got my kilt. My mom asked me to bring it, though I didn't wear it. I haven't yet figured out how to wear it in a car on a long trip without totally mashing the pleats.

Anyhow, my mom was pretty impressed with it and thought it loooked great. Then she pulls a total surprise. She says she has something for my wife. Out comes a big bag and in it are FOUR long ladies kilts! My mom's a thrift-sture nut and she found a mess of kilts half-price on one of her outings. I think it came to like ten bucks apiece.

These are four VERY nice wool kilts. Three of them specifically say they're from Scotland and one from the UK. I'll try to get the names off the tags when I have her model for pics in them.

I know one tartan is definitely Black Watch. The other three, I'll need your help identifying, guys.

I'm sooooo jealous!! Four kilts! FOUR! I'm going to have to start saving up my pennies now if I'm going to catch up with her.

Hey Joel, are they "real kilts" or pleated skirts, or ladies kilted skirts?

Seeing as I'm not authority quite yet, I'm going to say they're real kilts. They are made almost identically to my USAkilt. Though the pleats are not sewn down.

I think two of them might have hemmed bottoms. But they've got fringed aprons and buckles. They look pretty identical to what Jimmy's girlfriend was wearing at the Barleyjuice show a while back.

Very nice! Would you be lucky enough to have any of them fit you, then?

Not nearly. But they wrap in the oppositte direction, so they're definitely women's kilts.

    NICE!!!

Stacey has a LOAD of the longer kilts that are from the UK/Scotland. Those things are awesome! At THAT price, you guys just can't go wrong!

You realize that she'll need to "model" them?

Perhaps there will be Hooligans or Bogside Rogues gig in the "relatively" near future!
