    USAK feedback

Thanks Rocky and Kelly, my son, Daniel now has his first kilt and he phoned to say he really likes it.

I hope to get a photo of him in it before too long to post here.
For those new here, Daniel was unofficially voted by some to be the sexiest lad in a kilt on Xmarks (sadly, he beat me, I thought the vote was rigged - but what can I do?).

Daniel chose the Buccleuch tartan, I don't know anything about it, but a search on the word brought this up..http://www.buccleuchfreechurch.co.uk/

    It's a lovely tartan!

Suffice to say, there can be no prouder moment in a kilted father's life than to see his first-born son wear his first kilt.

    Thanks Rocky and kelly!!

    Graham,

A happy Father I can tell Hope that with yours and his influence your other two sons will be donning a kilt real soon!

I agree the Buccleuch is a very fine looking tartan. It is one of many on my every growing list of tartans.

Graham, I came home from The Richmond Celtic Festival yesterday. As I pulled into the driveway in my Tartaned kilt, and got out, my son pulled up in his jeep and got out to show me his new Utilikilt, which he had purchased at the festival. We stood and talked about kilts for a while, before he left for home. He had to work graveyard shift that night. My son is 23 years old. He did say that he would have preferred a tartan kilt, but he doesn't have the money right now.

You guys with sons must be very happy to have them in the process of being kilted!

JerMc, that's about the same age as my son, it's a time when they mature a bit and realise their father was right after all!

I think the proud father is forgetting that Daniel actually tied with Andrew (proud friend speaking) for that unofficial title.

Glad he likes his kilt Graham, any other sons looking to order their first kilts too?

    Buccleuch Tartan...

The Buccleuch Tartan, Graham, is associated with the 4th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers - the Tartan was chosen for their pipes & drums around 1908.

It is also associated with the Scotts, a border clan, and the tartan is a variant of the Shepherd's tartan or check, which is associated with the Borders Region & Northumberland in England.

    Cheers,

    T.
