Selling: Carnegie Ancient and Black Stewart 8 Yard Clan Alba Kilts
***BOTH KILTS HAVE BEEN SOLD***
After having lost significant weight and not worn these kilts in years, I wanted to clear out my closet and/or make room for something in my new size. I know there are a few people on XMarks who have bought Clan Alba kilts or asked about them, so I figured I would offer them here first. These kilts have sat unworn, but hung nicely on USAKilts kilt hangars, in a cedar closet, since I moved in 2016.
Both kilts are size 40, came from Kilts4Less, were listed as "Ex-Hire a-1 Condition" and 8 yards of medium weight wool, and I believe both came in with tags still attached. For reference, Kilts4Less still has the Carnegie Ancient available on eBay, but if you are in the US, you know that the shipping can add a lot to the price. I no longer see the Black Stewart on either their eBay or their main sites.
I am asking $100 USD each (they cost 99 GBP per kilt, plus shipping from the UK when they were bought), plus $20 shipping within the US for each.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Carnegie Ancient (40*24): {SOLD}
Black Stewart (40*25): {SOLD}

That Carnegie sure is pretty. Are you in New York or Illinois?

It is very pretty - I like them both a lot, they just haven't made it into my rotation lately, and with the weight loss, the question was whether it is worth moving the buckles on kilts that I haven't worn in years or not. Ultimately, I could probably use the space and the money to reinvest in another kilt that fits better.
I am in New York. I see that I used to not be incredibly far from you; I lived right across the street from Wrigley Field for about 12 years.

Is that cost for BOTH? Or per kilt?

Per kilt - I will edit the listing to be explicitly clear.

The box was sitting on my doorstep when I got home. I opened it up and inspected the kilt and am satisfied.
Even found the bonus flashes! Stitches, especially on the pleats, are intact. It fits and should look quite nice after a pressing.
I am happy to have added it to my wardrobe. Thanks and Cheers!

I am glad you received it and like it! It really is a beautiful kilt and tartan and needs to be worn more than I have worn it. I was thinking of shooting you a message when I found the flashes, but figured the surprise would be more fun. Glad you enjoyed it!

I wanted to "bump" this once to see if there is any interest before I offer the kilt up elsewhere as well.

I might be interested in that Black Stewart kit. Let me do some homework.
Those ancient U Nialls from Donegal were a randy bunch.
