Thanks for your help!
Thanks to the generous advice of the members of this forum, and the vigorous critiques of my elder relatives, I made it down the aisle without looking a fool. The photographer has only coughed up a few shots so far, but this one shows my kit fairly well.
I must say, despite the dearth of opportunities to wear it in modern society (at least in my environs) the PC is a look I rather enjoy.
And as an aside, does anyone have a highland wear rental company they recommend in the south eastern USA (for future events)? The customer service I dealt with was great, but the product was variable and my groomsmen looked a right fright (fortunately only one of them knew enough to be embarrassed).

Fair request.
The bride is definitely more beautiful than myself, but never having met you kiltedsawyer I'll let you make the call about a comparison with your self
