I trust all of you guys ... but not most of the rest of Georgia. I don't feel comfortable with a crowded pub just yet. Perhaps we schedule a video call for anyone interested, chat for an hour or so while enjoying our favorite beverage, and drink a toast to Rabbie and to a better year.

Highly unlikely in the UK, most areas it's illegal due to covid to meet anyone other than your home family group, indoors. Except for socially distanced work.

The pubs are closed here by law right now and they won't be opening up in time for Rabbie.

At this time the St Andrew Society of WA is going ahead with theirs:

Western Australia has been fortunate in remaining pretty much Covid free through strictly enforced entry restictions.

Not so in Sydney and Melbourne, I believe. W Aye is almost it's own island.

Here in Georgia, USA, nothing is closed. Pubs, restaurants, whatever are open. But I don't think we could get enough together to make it worth while.

I put in a call to Jim to ask if he had any thoughts on this subject. No answer, no callback. I'm willing, but am not eager to exceed people's comfort zones . Have no idea
how the Tavern would feel, which is why I called Jim. I'm willing to go with the consensus.

As I recall, the Tavern's new owner wasn't very thrilled to have us last year. I think Jim was considering a new venue, but I haven't spoken with him since then to know if he ever found one.
