evening out the spacing on the side of your hips
If anyone was thinking of moving the buckles on your kilts, in order to make the spacing on the side of your hips (IE correcting the fact that the pleats come all the way up to the left or right side of the apron, and on the opposing side, they come up 4 or 5 inches short) DO NOT DO IT!!! You'll end up taking off your buckles, moving them, sewing them, realising you are dumb like me, and then moving them back to the original position. What a wonderfull world I live in!
well, just some good advice.

Aye, I try to help out everyone as much as I can. Cousin? It's nice to know the clan system still maters to some people... It matters to me. I am not a MacDonald by blood, I'll have you know, *BUT* I am a Maculloch by blood (still my family name as well) and we are a sept of the great clan MacDonald, so I am both allowed and DO wear the tartan of the Macdonald of the Isles.

PS- actually come to think of it, I am sure somewhere my clan intermarried with yours back then so we very well may have the same blood running through our veins, you never know. Honestly, you have to love the clan system. It's easier to trace your family's heritage WAY back because of it, AND you start conversations with people of the same clan or sept as you... it's awesome!

Aye cousin, Macdonald DNA has been widely broadcast about the planet...methinks I be responsible for some of that broadcast too lad.
My grandfather's married Camerons, Gillis, Fletchers that I know of. Have Gordons and Scotts on other lines...But me randy grandfather's also brought some English, Welsh, and even Ulster Scot blood to the family tree...Gives this kiltoholic lots of choices of tartans.
