    My new, old sporran

    I'd always wanted a vintage horsehair sporran, and recently was able to purchase one on eBay. There are no makers marks of any kind, but OC Richard and figheadair estimated that it was likely produced between 1900 and 1930. It seems to be in good shape, overall.

    Perhaps I'll have occasion to wear it at our next Burns Supper (assuming that we'll have one next year...)

    That looks like a Farquharson badge to me or maybe MacDuff, What do you think?

    That sporran as we can see has a lion badge attached over the round boss which is cast into the cantle.
