My kiltmaker, Kathy Lare, has moved to Wichita Falls, Texas.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

We'll always welcome another kilt maker, but she is still a long way from the population center of I-35 corridor.

Aye, for sure. But that's because she moved to be with family and be a kilt sewing grandma....not so much a business as a craftsman doing things in the olde way.

I still have a bit of family in Wichita Falls (my dad grew up in nearby Archer City). If I ever purchase another kilt, I'll be sure to give her a ring!
