Anyone Ever Been Arrested in a MUG?
Came to mind today since I now have 15 years sober. A miracle for an old drunk like me.
Anyway, to the point. Memory took me to one night many years ago where I was driving home from a Halloween party. I was quite drunk.
My costume that night was a trench coat and tennis shoes. Nothing else. It was a nudist club party and I went as a flasher.
I was pulled over by four highway patrol cars and a police helicopter. I'm "in the position" wearing my MUG (the trench coat) wondering what will become of me in jail dressed like this.
Suddenly, one of the officers apologizes for stopping me, says they're after a hold up get away car whose description matched mine, and left me there bewildered, but very grateful.
Remembering that incident, wondered if anyone actually had been arrested and arrived at their local jail kilted....?
And, of course, what happened then.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

I've never been arrested period... thankfully. I'm not in the habit of puting myself in that position these days. There have been a couple of times many years ago that I was in no shape to drive home but I did... and got away with it. Just lucky I guess.

Remember the kid who used to do the "Dude, you're getting a Dell" commercials? He was busted for marijuana, and was hauled off to jail in his kilt.
