My New Tri-Color Pittsburgh Kilt Has Arrived
WOW! Blew my sox off...its prefect.
Its a royal blue kilt with alternate red and yellow underpleats to represent the Arizona state flag. And it does!
The royal blue and red capture the colors of Marine dress blue pants with the red stripe (just in time for 11/10 Semper Fi) and the royal blue and yellow capture the colors of the old cavalry blue and yellow. Together, the three make a great state flag colored kilt.
Point is, if you have a hair brained idea like I did, you can take it to Jeff at Pittsburgh Kilts and he can turn it into a reality.
He turned my dream into reality for me and was still able to include a back pocket (with a small Arizona flag emblem sewn on) hidden side pockets, and even was able to put a yellow stripe in the front pleat of the "sporran."
Now I'm thinking about an Arizona Diamondbacks kilt of Black with turquoise and copper underpleats...just the boys have to play better ball next year before I'll spring for that.
If you have an idea stewing in the back of your mind PK is the place to take it.

Now that Ron has received the kilt (and it won't ruin the "surprise"), I've posted a couple pictures of the kilt:

This was fun! I love a chance to do something different!

Hey Mike,
As a former resident of Raleigh, might point out that the same royal blue and red are in the N.C. state flag, just substitute white for the yellow and you'd have yourself an N.C. State flag colored kilt...or even an American flag kilt...don't know what Jeff would charge to sew white stars on the apron...or would that get you arrested down there??

Same color scheme (and stars) for the confederate battle flag so you can play both sides; Union while inside of the Triangle and CSA outside of the Triangle. (I used to live there, as well, and am amused by the pocket of Yankeedom inside of the Triangle borders)

Jeff,
I did take some digtal Pics of my Patriots kilt. I am in the process of moving and setting up my new DSL connection. I'll post in the galleries here but I'll send you some as well. I can send some with me in the kilt or some of the just the kilt and its features (if you like).
BTW, my two tones Patriots kilt does rock. It is so quick and easy to put on and I think the hidden apron pocket is a super addition. I really am pleased with the product and the service. Thanks. I am dissapointed that the Steelers are doing so well... but it is a long season! see you in the playoffs.
I'll post them Pics soon!
