    soliciting comments: Pittsburgh lined kilts

Does anyone here have a lined kilt from PK? I'm thinking of getting a lined camo kilt for hunting and general cold weather outdoor activities and was hoping to hear some feedback. Feel free to PM me if you don't want your comments to be public.

I own the very first PK-Lined. It's very warm, solidly constructed, and a hell of a bang for the buck. It doesn't have a rear pocket, and I recommend that you get detachable pockets and/or a sporran to round it out. Especially if you're going to be out hunting and need to carry a bunch of stuff with you.

In my personal gallery, my first picture (date-wise) is my PK-Lined (blue denim, Rob Roy flannel lining).

Hey Magnus. That's one of the few kiltmakers that I DON'T have... but...

I can attest to the quality of the kilts from the many that I've seen and examined. Not only are they INCREDIBLY well made, but the things look awesome. The beltlines are broad enough to be comfortable. The beltloops will accomodate anything you've got. The pleats are sharp and STRAIGHT. The drape, hang and taper are ON THE MONEY. And... the hardest part... the lining is tight and smooth.

You can actually go back-and-forth with Jeff to get his input on YOUR kilt. When you're done, you won't be sorry. There are FAR too many guys on this board that own a Pittsburgh Kilt, and RAVE about the quality of the kilt and the guy. I can only attest to the kiltmaker's quality at this point.

Yeah my own research is showing very high satisfaction on the PK's. I just hadn't seen many comment in the way of the lined ones specifically, and that sounded (as you alluded to) very challenging to do right.

I'm about 90% sure my next kilt is going to be a lined PK in camo (my army buds are begging me to get the new army digital camo and not the USMC MARPAT that Jeff advertises on his site) so now it's just a matter of coming up with the scratch.

The Army Digital pattern is pretty interesting.
I have seen it a few times and it looks like a watered down version of the MarPat. I mean it has no black. I read that the designer felt that the black would and could contribute to being able to pick out lines and whatnot. good luck on it.
I have been thinging about getting a Desert MarPat kilt from PK
but there are so many I want getting the scratch and deciding wich one.
