How 'bout a Denver kilt night?
I know we've got a couple of Xmarkers up here in the metro area, and I'm itching for a night out. How 'bout we see if we can get a kilt night going sometime soon. I'd like to do it before the 17th, 'cause that's the day school starts. I'd say late next week would be good for me, give my $$ a chance to get here. Anybody tried Fado? I haven't, but I've heard it's a nice place. I don't drink, but I don't care if anyone else does. This town has a lot of restaurants, let's invade one with a bunch o' kilties!

I'm open to it. There's a couple of us here in the Springs that might be able to make it up, one in Sedalia and about half a dozen or so there in Mile High. Let me know when and where. Will try to get the wife to come to this one, need someone to handle the camera

I'm thinking next Friday, the 12th or Saturday the 13th round about 5 or 6 ish. I think that starting that early will give the folks who want to come up from the springs time to get home at a decent hour. I'm up for earlier or later, though. I've looked around, and I think that The Celtic Tavern on Blake might be a better place than Fado, but I'm open to either, or another suggestion. The tavern has a nice selection of both Irish and single malt for those of you who drink, and a cigar room for those of us interested in such a thing- and they serve Scotch Eggs, which I've always wanted to try...
My wife is likely to come. When I asked her, she replied "Pass up the chance to be around men in kilts? I don't think so!" or something to that effect.

now all we need to do is get corbin, GMan, mudd, flyv65 and the rest interested. I think I'd lean a little more to Sat with the 5/6 starting time.

More room at the Celtic Tavern. Even though Fado's is nice.

I vote Celtic Tavern! If for no other reason than I want to finally try Scotch eggs.

How about the Celtic Crossing in Castle Pines, it’s about half way between Denver and the Springs, just north of Castle Rock. They have a great Restaurant and a separate bar section.

That might work if I and my wife could carpool with someone, as my vehicle isn't working at the moment, and even if I have it running by next Saturday, it needs a headlight that I know I won't be able to get by then. I think that's where the Colorado Xmarkers had the last kilt night just before I joined the forum.
