    Utilikilt Under Apron Fix

Tobus posted about a year ago about the under apron getting between his legs on Utilikilts. It happen with about a third of mine. When it starts to annoy me, I use iron-on HD hemming tape between the first and second layers, then put an iron on patch over the top of all from the back side.
It gives this edge three layers of bonded fabric for stiffness along that left edge and no leg diving.
I did bend the left edge out/down while it was still hot from the iron.
The triangle patch is the only one associated with this fix.
The pictured squares plus 5 more not pictured are due to their edger not working correctly when they made this one - made Nov 2010, bought from Utilikilt Dec 2011. Passed my inspection upon reciept and became evident after first wash. Luckily the edger was working when they edged the bottom - LOL.

UPDATE - I went through about half Of my Utilikillts checking. This seems to be needed more on the longer or more flexable kilts I have. I think it is the weight of the fabric at the left edge that is pulling the under apron into a tendancy to curl under. I have done this to all of my long (23 inch) Workmans Duck and denim and to both shorter denim Workmans. And to one of my Survivals, the Desert Digital in really light weight cloth. I didnt realize how many had gotten the treatment - I only do it if it is buggng me - I take it off, warmup the iron and fix it, put it back on and forget it.
