    Question Stupid question about A-shaping

When you a-shape the aprons should the angled edge run parallel with the pleats edges or should it set with the bottom running in a straight line? I've scanned the x-kilt directions but still couldn't figure it out.

I need some sort of a sketch or photo to visualize this question in order to answer it.

    Be well,

here is a quick pic of my under apron end in progress. I tried to set the inner most edge square in the frame. Then ran the angled side paralell with the pleats. I went with a 2" a-shape on the outer apron, the outer edge of the inner has a 2" "flare to it too. I hope this helps.

No such thing as a stupid question but if I undertand you're question I think the apron should parrallel to the other pleat edges.
At least more per Alan's X-Kilt but I think most people on XMTS would support either way??

Sorry I've taken so long to reply-distracted with my own project. I agree that the angled edge should be parallel to the pleat edges. I know that this means the bottom edge is a little angled, but this doesn't show when you are wearing it.

    Be well,

That's how I ended up working it out as well. I can't really see another way without a great deal of extra trouble.

You can "tuck up" the little bit of inner pleat that shows under the bottom of the apron iffin you wanna. That's what you do with a traditional kilt, but I never bother.

I was wondering about the bit that hangs down. Thank you to all who helped.
