Let's see... I don't own a pair of pants that fit me any more. I have shrunk out of all of them. So I did Christmas Day, and Christmas Eve, and today, and Sunday... and just about every other day that ends in a "y" kilted. So it went well! My sister in law isn't at all accepting of it (it's OK for her to wear pants, though- go figure) but otherwise it went well. I wore my Black Stewart, white shirt, green socks, tartan flashes, and a fly plaid with thistle broach to Midnight Mass. I got tons of great compliments on how I looked. Father Malikai (or however you spell it) is an old wisea** Irish priest. He loved the way I looked, and was very appreciative that I went out of my way to dress so nicely. So all in all, I'd say it was a very good Christmas.

I need to change part of the above so it fits for me, so - here goes!

Christmas was great, and the more so, because I was kilted!

Man, I hate when that happens! Try using a cooler setting on your dryer.

Jay,......I think that means you should put them in the refrigerator.

I did kiltmas this year. Starting from Christmas eve going through now, I only wore a kilt. Everything went well and had a few different parties at different places.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Did wear the kilt to my Mom and Dads' on Christmas Day...but that was about it. Not that I wouldn't have worn it for some of the other festivities but in all cases I would have had to stop what I was doing and change clothes...it was all too hectic for me to do that, though.

Much to my disgrace, I didn't even wear it to the Christmas event at my buddy's music store last night...again, just too rushed to have the time to change. I thought this was supposed to be a relaxed time of the year...

OK, I didn't wear my kilt on Christmas Day, I wore a pair of jeans that my dad bought me.

I did wear my kilt yesterday though. I went out with my new sporran, belt, and hose. I got nothin', no positive, yet no negative. I got a few stares and neckturns, but no quotes, question, comments, etc. But I guess that's a good thing, silence is golden.

Plus, I think they backed off because I went along with my brother and he was kilted, too. So I think they didn't want to have trouble with BOTH of us!! And I think a couple of kilted metalheads didn't look too inviting to insults

I did wear a kilt this Christmas... Christmas eve too... Black Watch with a black sweater, black hose, dark blue flashes, and my new Doc Martens.

I went to church, extended family's, in-laws, and my mom's house.

I got very few comments from family, but all of them I did get were positive.

Simple solution: don't wear something you have to change out of - wear the kilt all the time!
